CLASSROOM COURSE
InDepth: Torah
The Heart of God’s Word
In this course we study the stories which led to the law, the law itself, and the story of how the people fared in the immediate years after. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, the books which are called Torah, contain the stories of the central events which made Israel the unique people they became. Torah is the heart of what Christians call the Old and New Testaments. All our questions and problems of faith as well as the answers, begin there. We look at the stories and the legislation in their historical context and find some progressive regulations, some of which our own culture would do well to hear and implement.
Registration fee includes tuition, Participant Study Guide and sales tax for this class.
