InDepth: The Ministry of Jesus

Five Essential Frames of Reference

In this short course, we look at the often repeated words and actions of Jesus, as we know him through the four gospels, which reveal his own understanding of who he was and of what he was doing. We study Jesus as the Faithful Witness, the Son of Man, the Incarnate Yahweh, the King of Israel and as the Lamb of God. Of these five strong emphases in Jesus’ ministry, one is well understood, two are usually poorly conceived and two are either not recognized at all or at least barely recognized for what they are. This course is designed to deepen our understanding the one who is arguably the most significant and pivotal character in all of world history.
