InDepth: Ruth
A Diamond in the Rough of Judges
The book of Ruth is a very big deal in a small package. Barely four pages long in most Bibles, Ruth not only gives us many glimpses into evil and gracious living in ancient Israel that we find nowhere else, it also artfully lays out a critical story in the long history of God’s redemption, first of his special people, but ultimately, of the whole world. Ruth, often misread as a love story, tells of loving and faithful responses by many people which eventually prepare the world for God’s ultimate solution. In this course we learn not only a lot from the story of Ruth, but also about how and where to go in Scripture to get the most out of every Bible story.
Registration fee includes tuition, Participant Study Guide and sales tax for this class.
